Our 2025 Project List

2024 was our best year yet for projects, and I truly don't think we can top what we did then, from our camper van, to our laundry room, rolling library ladder, to the dining room (which I think might be my favorite room in the house now!) You can view the 2024 project recap here.
While I am a huge planner, I am always hesitant to share lists like this because I feel that there is a significant chance that we may end up going a totally different direction and not do any of these projects. But, here are the projects on our list for 2025, as long as you promise not to hold any of these against me!
We are hoping to sell our house this year, so we had our realtor come over and walk us through the projects that need the most immediate attention. Our list is a reflection of that. And unfortunately, most of these are very boring, unglamorous things. Except for the last one, which I'm really excited about!
Library & Living Room Refresh

I was shocked after doing a poll on my instagram that most of my followers thought these were two separate rooms! I have lots of fun plans for this room. Aside from adding crown moulding to the library wall, none of it will be too intensive. I plan to add a gallery wall or two, swapping out some of the furniture, building a frame TV, and adding some really pretty window clings to the sad foggy windows, which leads me into number 2...
Replacing the Windows in our House

The windows in our house are original (we believe) and they are in ROUGH shape. Nearly every window is fogged up, two have cracks in them, and the frames are awful. The window sills are made of what we think is actually an MDF and laminate kitchen countertop and they are also in rough shape.
The good news is that we actually only have 5 windows in our house (which is technically 9 windows because 4 of them are double windows). Our goal is to find a company to partner with us to offset the costs since they can be quite pricy. If you know of any, please do let me know!
Repairing the Garage
Due to an unfortunate combination of a flipping company that were shady liars and an inspector who was absolutely awful, we discovered after moving in (and removing drywall that was haphazardly stuck up to hide the damage) that our garage has significant damage to the studs and sill plates along one wall. Some of them are not even touching the ground. It's really bad. The good news is that we know exactly how to fix it because we have already fixed the same issue elsewhere in the house.
Repairing Gutters
This one is pretty self-explanatory, but our gutters are old and a few of them are not draining correctly! Kyle and his dad will probably be able to fix this themselves easily!
Backyard "Garden" Remodel

This one is going to be pretty fun! I haven't shown our backyard much in the past couple years, but it actually has quite a few really interesting features. We have a screened in porch, second floor deck, pergola with wisteria that blooms every spring, a gazebo with a swinging bench, a dozen hydrangea bushes, and a small fenced-in garden. Sounds really pretty right?
Well, sorta.
The "fenced in garden" is actually code for a-way-to-hide-an-ugly-concrete-pad. The previous owners had an above ground pool with a concrete pad, which they for some reason covered with extremely uneven brick and the most hideous fence made of palettes that seems straight out of the 2010 shabby chic era of interest.

The backyard plans include a TON of gardening work to dig up a lot of overgrown banana trees and weeds, and then creating a massive pea gravel area with a firepit and some seating. I think it'll end up being really beautiful!
Here are the projects we completed in 2024:
Thanks for following along!,
