Well, hello!

I am so glad to see you. Whether you are an old friend or new, welcome to my home!

My name is Melissa, and my husband, Kyle, and I have been renovating our 1970's split level fixer upper right outside of Nashville for the past four years. Kyle grew up on a farm in Kansas, climbing on roofs to fix shingles and fences with his dad, so he has DIY in his veins. I didn't pick up any power tools until adulthood, as a necessity when we couldn't afford to hire out the majority of our house projects. But now it is a fun, creative outlet for me, and it has been such a joy to share projects online.

Today is a crisp, late summer morning, the blinds are thrown wide, Dolly is curled up on her perch, and here I sit, mug of tea in hand (although it grows cold) typing away.

On my blog you will find in depth DIY projects, thrifted finds and upcycles, but I also hope to share with you deeper and more meaningful thoughts, life lessons, and musings. I'm so glad you're here!
